September blocks from Northern Deb Quilts

 

The color for September (for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge) is blue but since I had already made blue blocks, I decided I'd do brown. I know, I said I don't really care for brown but I needed one more color in this quilt. It was between gray, brown and black. Black seemed to intense and gray not strong enough so I did warm browns. 

I also made one more of green, orange and pink. That gave me enough blocks for a small quilt. I'm going to sew the blocks together now then give it a nice wide ...

Ive been gone for a while... from Northern Deb Quilts

Posting on my blog on a fairly regular basis was how I shared my quilting makes, for years. But since covid it's been VERY sporadic because Instagram is so much easier....and life in general was not. So I'm back again...I hope. I do not have internet at home. I use the library for the most part...or my phone. And cell service out here is touch and go. Dropped calls are the norm here. Longarm Renters Show Colorful Fabrics Filling a Plain Background from Quilted Joy

Quilts with bright beautiful colors are very common. If you are going to go through the trouble of making a quilt, why wouldn’t you chose some incredible colors to do it with? But the shapes you are sewing can be lost if every fabric in the quilt is equally bright and beautiful. It would be lovely to look at, but difficult to see.
